Welcome to the City of Suisun City Fire Department (SCFD) webpage. It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve along the side of the professional men and women at SCFD. The SCFD was established in 1861 and is rich in history, building on more than 150 years of dedicated service to our community. As an “All Risk” Fire Department we respond to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, technical rescue incidents including water rescue, high and low angle rope rescues, hazardous materials incidents and any other calls for service we are requested to assist with.

SCFD is a combination, career and volunteer fire department operating out of a single fire station, and four divisions; Administration, Operations, Training and Fire Prevention & Public Education. The men and women who make up our organization are our most valuable asset. They are dedicated to compassionately serving the needs of our community everyday embracing our Mission, “to ensure the protection of life and property through effective and efficient delivery of professional firefighting, fire prevention, and emergency medical services to the communities of Suisun City.”

Emergency Preparedness

The EOP addresses the City’s planned response to extraordinary emergency situations associated with natural, technological and human caused emergencies or disasters within or affecting Suisun City. This plan is the principal guide to the City’s response to, management of, and recovery from, real or potential emergencies and disasters occurring within its designated geographic boundaries. Specifically, this plan is intended to:

• Facilitate multi-jurisdictional and interagency coordination in emergency situations, particularly between local government, the Operational Area (geographic boundary of Solano County), and appropriate state and federal agencies and entities. • Serve as an operational plan and a reference document that may be used for pre-emergency planning, as well as emergency operations.
• Interface with applicable local, state and federal contingency plans.
• Guide users through the emergency management phases of preparedness, response and recovery.
• Identify the components of an Emergency Management Organization and establish associated protocols required to effectively respond to, manage and recover from major emergencies and disasters.
• Establish the operational concepts and procedures associated with: the coordination of resources and support to field responders in an emergency; the management of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and its activities; and the processes toward short-term and long-term recovery.
• Establish the organizational framework for implementation of the California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) within the City.

The Suisun City Fire Department was established in 1861. The men and women of the Suisun City Fire Department take great pride in their customer service to all who live, work and travel through the city limits of Suisun City. Suisun City Fire Department is a mission-driven fire agency focused on customers and safety. The Fire Department's goal is that all members strive to attain a synergistic balance of education, training, and experience to provide excellent customer service and emergency management on every call. The Fire Department is a combination agency with full-time and reserve fire personnel, providing a unique opportunity for those interested in fire service to gain experience as a reserve volunteer working alongside career members. 

The Suisun City Fire Department is an ALS (Paramedic) level department supported by Medic Ambulance for transport services. Suisun City Fire Department Station 47 is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The department also operates a Water Rescue Team and a USAR Team.
