The Suisun City Recreation, Parks, and Marina Department is happy to offer senior programs at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. Join us for social activities, crafts, fitness, and more.

Blackhawk Museum Trip
Join us for a trip to Blackhawk Museum in Danville! There are limited spaces available, so register now at suisun.recdesk.com or in person at the Joseph Nelson Community Center - the cost of the trip is $20 and transportation is provided. Senior Valentine's Brunch
You are invited to the Senior Valentine's brunch on Thurs, 2/13 from 10:00am-12:00pm. It will be a fun morning with great company and great food. Admission is FREE, but pre-registration is required by 2/10. The event is open to all seniors, and you do not need a significant other to attend. Tablet Training
Community Tech Network will be offering free technology programs at the Joseph Nelson Community Center for the next 6 months! Tablet Training classes will take place on 2/24 and 2/26 from 9:30am-11:30am, and 3/4 and 3/6 from 12:30pm-2:30pm. If seniors DO NOT have a tablet, they will sign up by calling Independent Living Resources at (707)435-8174. Success with Diabetes Program
Join us for a six session program on how to live a healthier life with diabetes! This program is brought to you for free by Sutter Health, Touro University, and Solano County Public Health. The program will start on Wednesday 3/5/25 from 10am-12pm, and continue weekly for six weeks. To register, view the link in the flier(PDF, 876KB) or visit https://linktr.ee/diabetestuca . Senior Lounge
Drink coffee, read a book, or chat with friends at the lounge every weekday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
Lunch (Ages 60+)
Beginning July 1, 2024, Innovative Health Solutions' Congregate Meals Program will serve lunch at the Joseph Nelson Community Center every weekday at 11:30am. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance. Please contact Innovative Health Solutions at info@innovativehealths.com or 707-684-4376 to make a reservation.
