Coming up this Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 is the Juneteenth Celebration at Harbor Plaza. This event is hosted by Suisun City Youth Commission, R.E.A.L. Fairfield, and Tri City NAACP Branch. The mission of this event is “to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and promote the economic, educational, and social advancement of the Black community” and the goal is to raise funds for local organizations. Festivities will begin at 10am both days and will include live music, dancing, community awards, spoken word, and speeches. This event will also have games, vendors, face painting, and fun activities for the whole family.
