Walk to End Alzheimer’s Solano County is on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Harbor Plaza in Suisun City and it will be a fun day for the whole family. Alzheimer’s Association hosts this annual walk to bring awareness to the community about Alzheimer's and all forms of dementia. It is important for participants to know they are not alone in this fight and many resources are available to those suffering with the disease and their support system as well. Nearly 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s. Funds raised for the Walk go to research, as there is still no cure, and to local community resources. For Walk participants, registration begins at 8:30am, ceremony begins at 9:30am, and the Walk begins at 10:00am. The Walk is just under 3 miles but there is a 1 mile cutoff. If you are unable to walk there will be live music on stage. Light snacks and beverages will be available to all participants.
