The City of Suisun City is thrilled to announce the adoption of a five-year Strategic Plan, presented to City Council at its Feb. 18 meeting. The Plan outlines a pathway to identify and achieve community goals, bringing the city’s bright future to fruition through FY 2029-30. “The five-year Strategic Plan represents our leadership and community’s investment in continuously improving the city we work, live, play in and love,” said Suisun City Mayor Alma Hernandez. “The Plan was created with much consideration and includes valuable contributions from across our community and city team. We are proud to share the goals we have identified and the actionable strategies we will employ to bring this vision to life.” The strategic planning process entailed thorough collaboration among Council, city staff, advisory bodies and members of the Suisun City community. An Implementation Action Plan accompanies the Strategic Plan. The executive team will utilize the Implementation Action Plan to identify implementation steps, timelines, lead assignments and milestones for each goal and strategy. In conclusion of the strategic planning process, the city identified four major goals to address over the next five years:
