On June 13, 2024, at approximately 04:23 hours the Suisun City Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 300 block of Line Street. While fire crews were responding, Suisun City Dispatch updated responding units of an additional two callers reporting the fire. Suisun City Police Officers arrived on scene prior to the fire department, reporting a well-established working fire.

While fire units were responding, the incident was upgraded to a 1st alarm response calling upon the Cities of Fairfield, Vacaville, and Vallejo Fire Departments for mutual aid assistance. Engine 47, Engine 48, and Battalion 47 arrived on scene within approximately 10 minutes from the time of dispatch to find a single-story single family residential structure with a well involved fire.

Firefighters initially began an offensive interior fire attack and were presented with significant winds which exacerbated the fires intensity and spread. The fire also posed a threat to nearby structures. Interior firefighting crews encountered unfavorable conditions to continue offensive interior suppression efforts. This resulted in transitioning fire suppression efforts to an exterior defensive operation.

Due to the extensive fire and dilapidated conditions of the property, it took a total of 21 firefighters approximately 90 minutes to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

We want to thank our partners in the City of Fairfield, as well as our colleagues in Suisun City Public Works and Police Department for their assistance during the incident. These team efforts are a reflection of our shared support for Suisun City and its surrounding cities.
